Is texting my customers legal?
Yes, when it's done right — and doing it right is the whole point. Waveship registers your A2P 10DLC campaign for you, captures provable consent on every opt-in, honors STOP instantly, and only sends inside legal quiet hours. Nothing bypasses that check.
What is A2P 10DLC, and do I have to deal with it?
It's the carrier registration every business texting program now needs. Carriers block unregistered senders. We automate the registration during onboarding so you never touch The Campaign Registry.
Does the AI send messages on its own?
No. Every AI-written message — campaign or reply — is held for your approval. You're the one who taps send. It does the work; you keep control. (The one exception is a fixed, you-preapproved template: the instant text back after a missed call. Everything the customer says after that is drafted and waits for you.)
If I miss a call, can I really text the person back?
Yes. Replying to a customer who just called you is a conversation, not marketing — so the instant text-back is allowed, and it still honors STOP and your registration. It just isn't gated behind a marketing opt-in. If the chat turns into promotions, that's a separate opt-in we capture properly.
Do I have to switch my booking or POS system?
No — Waveship works alongside your scheduler and never replaces it. For tools with an open calendar (Google Calendar, Square Appointments, and more over time) it reads your calendar to time messages automatically; for the rest, you import your client list once and we keep the list and the marketing running from there.
Is this just appointment reminders?

What counts against my plan — contacts or messages?
Both, generously. Plans are tiered on contacts and monthly texts; email is included. Overage texts are a few cents each, and credits roll over one cycle.
